Apologies in advance. There may be a post already describing this issue, but I was not sure what terminology to search for. I took the front panels off tonight to enjoy the night air. I got home to reinstall them and was able to get all of the L latches turned and locked as well as the front two latches (above the sun visors) with some some force. but could not get the L latches closest to the rearview mirror turned and locked. Side note- I made sure that the pins on the front latches were properly aligned as I lowered the panels (at least I thought I did). The L latches are not coming down far enough to be locked into place. What am I doing wrong? I did the best I could to get some pictures. Thanks for you help!

Is it possible that you put the driver side back on before the passenger panel? Passenger panel has to go back on first to be seated correctly.

I assume that’s not the case though… are you able to try and reseat the panels and do the handle latch in the corners of the A pillar and then the front middle two L handles and then the remaining B pillar/Center console latches?

Best of luck.

Just because the pins are aligned, doesn't necessarily mean the top is aligned. You still have to wiggle it around, back and forth. Double check that the top is not biting into the rubber seals improperly, and that all the seals are flush.

Loosen the latches, double check your rubber seals are not pinched, align the pins, Then wiggle the panel around whilst checking if the handles will lock in. You may also feel/hear the panel "fall" into place.

There are holes over those latches that pins drop into. Willing to bet the pins are not seated.

The inside corners of the front panels have METAL pins that go into holes in the middle windshield area. They are a pain to get in there and always get stuck when removing the panels. You have to wiggle the top and gently tap it down right where the pins are.

I finally got it to work. At least for me it took some finesse😆 but it worked.
