Good day everyone. I placed an order with two dealers on Monday. I received order summary from both today and I see one lists it as an ADVANCED E5D0 and the other as E5B0.

I also see starting prices are different on both. What is the difference?

4-Door 4x4 with Part Time Selectable Engagement E5B O O O
4-Door Advanced 4x4 with Automatic On-Demand Engagement E5D O O O

One is equipped with the advanced on demand transfer case. Advanced adds a rear locking differential and taller gears and increases costs $2195 on the build and price.

So, is the difference really only the part-time vs full time 4x4 drive?

Yup.

Did you make 2 identical orders to see which came in first? If so, they ain't identical.

Well, thank you for the clarity. I am interested in the 4.27 gears with the rear locker but didn't care much about the full time 4x4. Most of the Bronco's use will be on pavement. Would I be missing something I am not accounting for by not going with the full time 4x4?

The advanced transfer case has a lower gear ratio, 3.06:1 vs 2.72:1. Not sure of the advantages or disadvantages of the advanced over the std, maybe someone else will comment.

Standard: 4x4 with part-time selectable engagement – two-speed electronic shift-on-the-fly 2.72:1 low ratio
Optional: Advanced 4x4 with automatic on-demand 4H engagement – two-speed electromechanical transfer case 3.06:1 low ratio

Ya, the fact that it's the more durable transfer case.
