I still drop in on my old Explorer forum and some people were raving about these to stop the annoying high-pitched whistle noises from crossbars.

I have been going back and fourth on roof rack options and I'm kicking around the idea of getting a few packs of these to place on the crossbar sections of the roof rack. The cool things with these vs the ones that Thule and others make is that they are longer 60'' pieces you can cut down, have adhesive on the bottom not the tracks to slide into the corresponding bars, and they are WAY cheaper than the Thule strips.

Most of the bars I have used in the past had these types of rubber strips and not only can they educe the whistle, but they are nice to add a little grip to the bars.

Has anyone ever done something similar or used something like this

I would be happy to give an opinion if I didn’t have to click a link to see what you were posting about

Which aerobars have you successfully mounted to the Bronco in the first place?

None on the Bronco. Our son has our previous explorer and that has Thule Aero blades. I still do the work on the Explorer so I still use the forums where I saw these strips. I've always had the bars with those types of grips. I'm curious if anyone has used anything like that on a rack. This would be my first rack but I am still looking into it. Was thinking of adhering these to the cross sections!
