After months of anticipation since their unveiling at SEMA 2024, the all-new Diode Dynamics Stage Series Lightbars are officially here. Reengineered from the ground up, these lightbars deliver more power, more control, and more configurability than ever before. Designed, engineered, and assembled in the USA, they set a new benchmark for performance and versatility in off-road lighting.

Reengineered for Maximum Performance

The new Stage Series Lightbars were built from scratch with one goal: to outperform everything else on the market. At their core are our patented Total Internal Reflection (TIR) optics, designed to capture and focus nearly all the light from each LED, projecting it exactly where it is needed with minimal loss or glare.

Every component has been upgraded for higher output and sustained performance. From automotive-grade LED emitters to copper circuit boards on Pro and Max models, every detail was engineered to push brightness and efficiency to the next level.

The result is massive real-world output. The flagship SS50 Pro Spot produces over 1 million candela, shining an incredible 1.25 miles (¼ lux) downrange. With the combination of high-efficiency optics and direct thermal management, Stage Series delivers both intensity and reliability for serious off-road performance.

SmartSelect and Backlight Functionality

The new Stage Series lineup introduces two versions: Standard and SmartSelect. Both feature the same high-performance optics and construction, but SmartSelect takes control to another level.

SmartSelect-equipped lightbars offer a Selectable Multicolor Backlight with eight color options, including a dedicated true amber LED, and a dynamic startup sequence that activates when powered on. On SS30 and larger models, SmartSelect also enables main beam section control, allowing you to toggle between inner sections, outer sections, or the full bar with no extra wiring or switches required.

The Standard model keeps things simple with a clean, amber-only backlight that provides a distinct, OEM+ look. Whether you prefer streamlined simplicity or full customization, there is a Stage Series Lightbar to fit your build.

Configurable, Linkable, and Fully Modular

Stage Series Lightbars are built for flexibility. SS10 and SS20 models are linkable using our CrossLink technology, letting you combine multiple bars into one seamless setup, including curved configurations. For custom applications, Stage Series Lightbars can also link with our C2 2.0 and C2R LED pods, giving you complete freedom to design the perfect system for your vehicle.

Every model uses 6000K white emitters across the board, meaning color output is controlled entirely by the lens. Want to switch from white to selective yellow? Just swap the lens, no need to change the LEDs.

We have also introduced a full lineup of snap-on lens covers for added protection or quick style changes. Available in multiple colors, including True Amber, these covers snap on easily without tools for instant customization.

Power Levels and Options

Each Stage Series Lightbar is available in multiple power levels: Sport, Pro, and Max (Max available on the SS10).

Sport delivers high performance and excellent efficiency for everyday builds.

Pro takes things up a notch with higher output and copper PCBs for maximum thermal performance.

Max uses the same Osram HX Boost LEDs found in our highest-output Stage Series pods, pushing intensity to new limits in a compact size.

No matter which level you choose, every Stage Series Lightbar runs on a 9–30V electrical system, making them compatible with everything from daily drivers to off-road rigs and heavy-duty work trucks.

Built to Handle Anything

Durability is at the heart of every Diode Dynamics product, and the new Stage Series Lightbars are no exception. Each housing features aluminum construction, pin-fin heatsinks for maximum cooling, and a rugged ASTM-standard powdercoat finish, the same proven coating introduced on our C2 2.0 LED Pods.

Every lightbar is sealed to an IP69K waterproof rating, capable of withstanding high-pressure washing, mud, dust, and rain. From high-speed desert runs to technical rock crawling, Stage Series Lightbars are built to perform in any environment.

Beam Patterns for Every Application



Each lightbar is available in multiple beam patterns for different environments and driving styles:

Spot: A tight, 8-degree beam for maximum distance and downrange visibility.

SAE Driving: A balanced 20×12 beam for strong forward punch with added width, ideal for trail driving.

Flood: A wide 70×60 beam for lighting up campsites, work areas, or technical terrain.

Combo/Driving: A new, uniform pillowed optic combining width and distance for the most versatile all-around performance.

For SS30 models and larger, SmartSelect functionality lets you toggle between inner and outer sections of different optics, adapting your output to the terrain in real time.

Hey John!

Love to see an updated series like this come to market.

I have two questions for you based on my current bar, the BD S8 40”. These Q’s are assuming I was to swap it out for a DD SS40 of equal features (standard on/off functions, no smart select or dual zone control).

1: My BD S8 uses a 3 Wire Harness (Main Light Positive, Backlight Positive and Ground). This harness is painfully routed through the vehicles chassis (zip ties, weather stripping, silicone sealants and such). Would this new DD equivalent to the S8 be “Plug and Play” and be able to utilize the same harness (if only having to change the pigtail for the light)?

2: We all hear the marketing speak over TIR vs Reflectors, have you guys any literature/media to show a direct comparison? In particular, glare and uncontrolled light. My S8 is mounted at roof height over top of the windshield and somehow it shines light almost directly below it into the cab. This uncontrolled light fills the dash area and makes it more difficult to see out the windshield while the light bar is turned on. See photo attached for lightbar position.
