New user hello and JB4 question

Watching your results with interest. I was considering going the Ford Performance route but who knows when they will release a tune for the new version 2.3.

They told me a couple of months. But, I wouldn’t hold your breath. Plus it will probably be featureless for more money.

That's what I tried to tell the service writer in 3 separate phone conversations. My plate light is non-op since taking delivery last week so it has to go in for that anyway. Like I said, I'm not holding my breath on the tune.

Big shocker......the tech couldn't tune the truck. I tried to tell him, but noooooooo. I showed him my shocked face.....

That's how I read it. The pics I sent showed the part numbers of the sensors as well as the connector pins and wire colors. I'm hoping the tech people had a look and gave him the thumbs up. We'll find out.

Any update on the JB4 unit working on the 2025 2.3L? They keep telling me their existing unit for the '21-'24 2.3L is the one to use.

I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. Too many expensive upgrades to do. Rough Country Hidden Winch Mount is done. Next will be the HK Offroad Rear Tow Hitch. Then the JB-4 will be next after that. I figure it's probably smart to get a few thousand miles on the brand new engine to let it settle in before asking for more boost. I'll update when it happens.

I can verify that the JB4 works on the 2025+ 2.3L. Just got done installing it. The app showing engine parameters was also fully functional as I also got the optional Bluetooth communication adapter. Now just waiting for Ford Performance to release the new tune on 3/2 for the upgraded trans tuning.
