New owner and member introduction

I just wanted to introduce myself to the group. My wife and I just bought a Badlands. We intend to use it as a daily driver and tow it behind our RV when we travel. It will most likely spend most of its time on the road, but we will throw in some off roading on our travels as well. I am a former Jeep Wrangler owner, but fell in love with the styling of the Bronco when they were re-introduced. I've been working on my wife to buy one for a while and we finally pulled the trigger. I am looking to go to the Nevada Bronco Off-Roadeo now that I am a new owner. I'm curious what others who have been thought of the experience.

Welcome to the group @Chad Heiser . Make sure to read the manual on how to flat tow since you mentioned towing behind your RV. There were previous members that experienced issues due to not following the procedures (credit to @Tilzbow for previously posting). You may already be aware, but just in case...

Thanks for the information. I've done a ton of reading on flat towing a Bronco. I know about the brake boost issue that Ford corrected with software and the procedures for putting it into tow mode. I wanted to make sure we would have no issues towing a Bronco before I ever bought one. I'm happy for those that have gone before me to work out all those issues.

The mods will begin eventually. I made a deal with my wife that nothing major would happen in the first year though. We spent a lot of money in 2024 (of which the Bronco was just a part), so the budget needs to get built back up again in 2025. My dream set up would be an APG Prorunner conversion, but I don't know if I will ever get my wife to go for that.

My wife and I went to the Nevada Off-Rodeo a few years ago. It was well worth the money. I’ve got a lot of experience off road but still found I learned a few new techniques but the real benefit was learning about operating the technology that’s included with the Bronco.

Welcome Chad! Congrats on the new ride. I don't mean to be a jerk here on one of your first B6G posts, but the running rule is, new Bronco owners buy the first round of Krispy Kreme donuts to all those that reply "hello & congrats....", etc.

So FYI.... I'm a Cocolate Iced kinda guy. Have your wife whip out the old CC and charge away.... she'll understand. It's a "Bronco" thing!
