In general... FL dealers have too many Raptors. This dealer always seems to have 100+ Bronco in stock but have been blowing them out for months with discounts and yet they still have 23 Raptors on the lot. I recall them having 20+ Badlands and 20+ Wildtraks in the past but sales seem to be brisk with the discounts ($11K).

Ford definitely overproduced them and overpriced Raptors.
Yeah, I think my Raptor is fantastic, but I’d never pay the $99,900 MSRP it had.

Actually that looks pretty dang good. 😁

I think most people agree with you. And yet some dealers want you to pay MSRP on a 2024 that will be considered 2 years old in 2 weeks. Hell, they are still trying to get people to buy the remaining 2023s for the price of 2024s.

There is a dealer in TX that has a brand new '22 Raptor, they are discounting $3885 to $76500. Now it's MSRP is lower because it's a '22 before some of the later price increases but still, you can basically buy a '23 or '24 Raptor for that money at some dealers offering big discounts. Why the heck would I want a now 3 model year old vehicle unless I'm getting a much better price. How much you want to bet this dealer was trying to sell that Raptor in '22 or '23 with a big fat ADM. I'd certainly hate to be servicing the loan on that sitting on the lot all these years.

I'd also be worried about the lot rot factor of this vehicle sitting for potentially over 2 years. For instance, you'd probably want almost every fluid changed in it if purchased at this point.

I wonder if it's in their show room perhaps? Maybe they view it as part of the interior decorating at this point?

I was thinking it's probably is a "demo/program car", one of those slightly used (by sales, owner, prospective buyers, etc.) but they are allowed to list as new maybe?

$76,500 is too high for me for that age/situation, but someone will buy it at that price and feel good about it so that's all that counts...

Could be a demo, but I tracked it down on Autotrader and it's only listed with ~160 miles (and the pictures they have of it show 148 miles on the odometer). It's not a bad build for $76500; if it was a 2024. Personally with how low prices on 2023s went, I don't see how anyone in their right mind would pay more than $70K for this (but I guess it just takes one).

They only have 3 Raptors on their lot including this one which may be part of why they are not dealing that aggressive and they are a high volume dealership (unlike some of the dealers literally drowning in over $1M of inventory).

I'd agree, not a bad price $76500 for a '24 but for a '22. It would have to come in under $70k before I'd be interested. At this point it's just a used truck and really I'd rather have a used '22 that has at least been driven. Sitting for 2 years hasn't done it any favors.

I found mine mine at a dealer near Ephrata, PA. Paid $81,900 on a list price a little over $97K. I had been pestering dealers for about 8 months. The inventory in the northeast is thick and when I first offered $82K, each and every dealer got kind of indignant with a "don't waste my time" attitude. Some laughed out loud and said good luck. They're not laughing now. I drove the new Raptor to the 5 dealers who laughed and was sure to say hello to their GMs. Point is - don't be smug a$$holes. And, spend some money on teaching people how to sell cars.
Time for me to do the same. Shooting for 75k on a azure gray 24 with leather seats. Only other option I'm interested is the color matched top.

That's funny. There are a few 24s listed for less than 79k. Those will be 2 years old in 2 weeks. And they want someone to buy one that will be essentially 4 years old at the same price.

I saw that too, at least that has a decent discount and is a year newer. Not sure I would want to travel to SD though.
Yeah from NC that's a haul. But that is a pretty healthy discount. Personally didn't see anything close to that.
