Heading out to the Vegas Off-rodeo this Saturday and it’s going to be HOT. Would have preferred going in the fall but my wife is a teacher so this is what fit into the schedule. A few questions. In the email telling you what to bring they mention wearing long pants. With it being about 110 out there I was planning on wearing shorts. Are long pants necessary? Then I know they used to give everyone a Bronco water bottle when you attended. Is that still the case or should we make sure and bring our own?

Thanks!

Mount Potosi is 3000 feet higher than Las Vegas (5700) and is in a valley. It will be cooler. I highly recommend wearing long pants. Save the shorts for Las Vegas. Also you'll be in the Bronco most of the time (A/C).

I was there the end of March and we all got a very nice water bottle right at the start.

According to this website the Off Roadeo location will be in the mid 70s. Plus you're starting fairly early.

They only give water bottles to the owner, not the guest.

I went last summer and Vegas was about 116 but the site didn't get over 90. Had a blast Ford did a great job, the instructors were outstanding and the food was great. You will have fun and learn a lot about how to handle your Bronco. Enjoy!!

I wore shorts in December, no big deal, there's no hiking time. We received the free passenger deal, and they did get the Yeti water bottle, they also have them in their merch store with a 10% discount that day.

Same Same (last Dec).
But many brought a little go-bag with snacks /water.
Nevada in June = shorts/hiking boots.
Absolutely should not be missed. Have a blast!!

Thanks everyone for the replies. I’ve been looking forward to the off roadoe since I first started looking at the Bronco years ago. Can’t wait!

They went cheap, we went to Nevada Offroadeo June 6th and only the owner gets a water bottle. The other two drivers in my party didn’t get anything.

Last year in Moab both of us in my party got water bottles.

The weather in early June was weird atop the mountain in Vegas. Flash flood warnings around town and we got some hail in the morning on the first trail run.

It was a fun time and our guide was top notch. Trails were really technical and the food was really good, but I 100% enjoyed Moab Offroadeo more. From talking to the guy running the show in Nevada he said it was an old scout camp they are using and BLM said no new roads so they are using washes to drive through for the harder stuff. It’s insane rock crawling…for me anyway. Rough with some 35mph stuff too. you definitely learn technique but it’s nothing I’ll ever do in my truck. Moab was far more of what my limits would be and Vegas couldn’t compare to the Moab scenery.

Shorts are fine. Bring a sweat shirt for the morning. That being said, it is cooler up there so pants works also.
