I’m trying to install this self-powered sub in my 22 Base Moredoor, SAS.

First question, the picture is the 12v connector for the outlet on the back panel. Which wire is power and which one is ground?

Second question. Can I use these for power and ground for this small amp/sub combo or do I need to run a dedicated power from the front of the Bronco. There is already a convenient ground nearby.

Appreciate the help.

The power point connector is fused for 20A, and Ford recommends no more than 15A, and several people have had issues with it running as low as 10A

So I wouldn’t use that.

You absolutely should run a new fused line up and to the battery for your sub amp. You might get away piggybacking off either the power point or existing amp power, but either will under power your new sub.

Agree with @Brian_B ... you should run a dedicated power up front. Needs to be at least a 10 AWG, though personally I'd do 8 AWG for some added headroom.

Ground is easy though, there is already one back there (as you've noticed).

Thank you both. Appreciate the assist. Assuming I should run this fused right from the battery correct or, would you tap one of the empty 20A slots in the fuse box? As an aside, I’m about 1/2” away from having this thing tucked behind the side plastic trim. Have to fiddle with the placement a bit more. Will post a pic if I am successful

Fused from battery is the most typical way it’s done, so long as it has some sort of auto on/off (most all amps do)

Copy, thanks. Aside from the wiring, I’m so close to getting this thing to fit 😂
