Thank you, Monika.Hey Daniel! Monika from MEK Magnet, we only sell the nano-hold technology Bronco Hood Armor to Extreme Terrain so I am not sure what they sent you and I'll definitely need to chat to them about the misinformation they may be sharing. Our Bronco Hood Armor is available in two options from our website; nano-hold technology which is a lightweight ballistic resin with the nano-hold technology gel, this is not a magnet, you peel off the protective plastic and stick this material to the Bronco. The nano-hold technology material is not an adhesive, the stickiness is a characteristic of the material so if it ever gets dirty to loses stickiness you just wash it and air dry to reactivate. The PPV is a light duty paint protection vinyl and is designed to be DIY wet or dry installed and stay on for a few years. If you are looking for a permanent hood solution for the glare I would recommend the PPV or painting it like you suggested.
I wanted to buy the nano-hold piece for the Bronco hood "hump" only. I would like to be able to take it on or off depending on the weather (or the driver!) I called them (Extreme Terrain) to ask them if the piece I am about to order the one I am looking for. On your website you show TWO pieces for the hood (they cover the whole hood, minus the ledge of the hump). I haven't seen the hump piece separately anywhere, except on their website, hence the call. They assured me that this IS the nano-hold piece, and I ordered it. Well,....they sent me the PPV piece which I am not interested in.
The situation is like this.......this Bronco is basically one of my wife's vehicles. She is 5'2" and sits a lot lower than me, so there is no glare for her, and she thinks the black hump would look ugly. I am 6'3" and the glare bothers me. I was thinking when she drives it, she could simply take this thing off, and I'll slap it on when I want to play with it. It would be removed for the entire winter of course. She liked the idea of the scoop (in pictures), but we were both shocked how ugly it was in person (besides the fact that it was defective). This "nano-magnet" sounded like a perfect solution to me.
