Has anyone else noticed these little red dots showing up around places they frequently drive? I don’t know what they are and there doesn’t seem to be any way to interact with them.

They are “Breadcrumbs”. Nav automatically drops them whenever it seems necessary to drop them.
I don't see this on mine, 12 inch screen high package

I think they are breadcrumbs. Can I laugh a little and say that, I know you wanted to black out the names of the streets, but man that was not a great job 😂 That being said, I think you will be OK.

I’ve pieces together that they appear when you’re driving at low speeds away from streets and roads. This includes when you’re on a long driveway. I think Nav assumes you’re off-roading and starts dropping bread crumbs so you can find your way back.

I’ll say it again - Nav automatically drops them whenever it deems necessary.

If you never leave city pavement, you’ll never see them. But if you “go off-road” (whatever that means to the Nav) it’ll drop breadcrumbs.

The navigation in my 2005 has them all over the place, mostly because the map update is from 2005

I think this has to do with 'predictive destination' functionality, which I think you can turn off. Mine show up between home and work and a couple of the places I regularly drive.

Like @Boreal said, dropped by the nav system.

I’m glad it’s not some weird bug but what do you do with them? They aren’t tappable or savable.

Was on my phone in bright light. Didn’t realize you could see right through it until later. 😂
