Prob measure their IQ by their tire size, that could be another "Jeep Thing" we wouldn't understand.Probably a jeep owner who doesn’t know the difference between a Bronco and a Jeep. I would toss it![]()

Of course not. It's silly at best but think of it as an admiration for your ride. If you don't have dogs that would appreciate the new toys to destroy, put the ducks you collect at about 50 yards, and get them with your weapon of choice. Pure fun.I want to respect the respect if that makes sense, but totally not into that kinda bling for my buggy either.

I never killed unless I had to. Luckily, I don't have to anymore. It's like duck hunting but different
Do you know if the duck stuff was started by a woman? It's all pointing to that from observation. You see a jeep with a pile of ducks on the dash and it's most likely piloted by a female, orientation questionable...The stupid duck thing factored into my decision to go Bronco this time. I had 3 Jeeps in the years before the duck dipshittery began. No thanks. No longer my tribe. That And Stellantis made the Jeep way too refined.
That's funny stuff, "Mall Crawler" is a new one for me. I've heard Pavement Princess and Garage Ornament but not that one!Well…. I got a cousin that has a Willey’s version. She has 10 or 12 of those things on her dash. Married 4 kids. So the orientation is correct. brags about going thru a 1 foot deep 10 foot wide stream and up some “trails”. I’ve seen them and they are dirt roads.
I have asked her to bring that mall crawler out west and see what it can do on the trails around the house.
Always has an excuse why she can’t. She talked about all the great places to ride. So one year we went to visit and took the SXS. I thought we would do some interesting riding. Nope. Dirt roads. So we cut the visit short and went and rode the HatField/McCoy trails.
She goes to the Jeep admiration society meeting in Daytona every year. It’s like Bike Week for mall crawlers.![]()
Yep. And if the backstory is to be believed it’s a nice gesture that never needed to be a thing for everyone because that’s just stupid.Do you know if the duck stuff was started by a woman? Here's the backstory based on Grok3 AIYep. And if the backstory is to be believed it’s a nice gesture that never needed to be a thing for everyone because that’s just stupid.
Jeep equals off-road minivan now.
And now I hate it that much more. Here's the backstory based on Grok3 AI
The Jeep rubber duck tradition, known as "Jeep Ducking" or "Duck Duck Jeep," began in 2020 in Ontario, Canada, with a woman named Allison Parliament. After a negative encounter at a gas station, Parliament sought to spread positivity. She had purchased rubber ducks to hide at a friend’s house as a playful gesture of thanks. Inspired to share kindness, she placed a rubber duck on a Jeep Wrangler in a parking lot with a note saying, “Nice Jeep, have a great day!” The Jeep’s owner saw the act, laughed, and encouraged her to share it on social media. Parliament’s post went viral, sparking the #DuckDuckJeep movement. Jeep owners worldwide started placing rubber ducks on other Jeeps as a symbol of camaraderie and kindness, often leaving notes or using the hashtag to spread the trend. By 2023, it had become a global phenomenon, with ducks appearing on various Jeep models and even inspiring similar trends for other vehicle brands.[](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_ducking)[](https://www.rd.com/article/jeep-ducks/)[](https://marioncdjr.com/jeep-ducking)
We enjoyed it. A have a friend the lives in the area so we rode with them for 3 days. Tons of fun. But the rangers are ever present. And they will stop and check your rig. It was a definite must do.That's funny stuff, "Mall Crawler" is a new one for me. I've heard Pavement Princess and Garage Ornament but not that one!
How did you like the H/M trails? It's on my list to check off.
a few years back, I 3D printed some of these and gave to a guy who had 2.4L Wrangler. He was planning to swap out his Trail Rated badges with them...That's funny stuff, "Mall Crawler" is a new one for me. I've heard Pavement Princess and Garage Ornament but not that one!
