Modular Front Bumper Option....sort of

Looks like there are two versions of the aftermarket mod bumper. The first picture is one from EBay that cost 325. The end caps on these are not like the factory ones as in the whole piece comes off instead of leaving the top bar all the way across. I ordered the one in the second pic off Amazon which looks like the factory one.

That looks just like the one from Amazon. It’s 749.00 on Amazon with a 50.00 coupon available. The eBay add says or best offer too.

Interesting the difference. I would love to see these side by side. I have the Chinese model that has the OEM style end caps, it appears to be a pretty good knockoff and so far I've installed a bull bar and fog lights for a mod bumper without any issues. I wonder about the cheaper one.

Has anyone had these bumpers installed over a winter? Any rust issues? My BIL had an aftermarket bumper (different vehicle) that started rusting bad after the first winter and exposure to salt.

It depends, if you have the front sensors you will need to replace the outer sensors with ones that are angled LU5Z-15K859-AAPTM. The capable bumpers sensors are different and don't really fit well. You would need these for both the OEM and Chinese mod bumpers.

If you don't have sensors then you should be good.

Then I guess you will need the sensors. I got mine through @flip he is on the forum and works for Ruxer Ford.

It's true, everything will transfer over but the outer two sensors will not seat flush with the bumper, ask me how I know this. I ordered the sensors from @flip
