MOD tops for 21 FE/WTs

Now that Ford has hit the pause button to fix the hardtop issues, why wouldn’t the MOD top be available for the FE/WT builds? The ones that have already been delivered need their tops replaced anyway. I suggest they slowdown (as they already have) and look back at the issues created by steaming ahead without fully appreciating the challenges. The MOD top on the road would re-assure reservation holders that next years wait will be with it. Offering color options for next year does little to give confidence now. Savvy consumers see it for what it is, a distraction.

MOD top is with a new vendor and not ready yet. I don't think that will be ready until 2023. FE is 2021 only.

Looks like the Bronco will be evolving for a few years in probably many ways. Getting better. Just like the 1st gen did. Sadly it looks like it will be '23 before it really comes together. By then, inflation will probably have a loaded one at close to $80K.

I KNOW FEs are 2021, I KNOW MOD tops are in development, I KNOW FEs only come with hardtops, I KNOW I should feel lucky to be getting my FE this year (I do, and sympathize)... if Ford is listening, and we can float some good ideas their way, then this is it. A crummy alternative top for their premier flagship is bad advertising. “7000 MOD tops!” Is my battlecry.

True. It would bite to be the unwitting QC tester for an unproven product, like say a top that delaminates... MIC top looks terrible on FEs. Black painted grill, black painted mirror caps, black door window guides, and some faded gray top...it was conceived for the FE for heaven sakes.
