Does anyone know what happens to the FE orders that were initially made with a MOD Top, but weren’t updated by today? Do they get automatically converted to a MIC top? Do they get pushed to a MY22 BL with a MOD Top? Or does the order just get canceled?

The MOD top is no longer an option on the FE. So it automatically changed to a MIC and will still get built in MY21. No FE will be built in MY22. If you don’t want the MIC best you can do is cancel your order.

Understand but I was just wondering how Ford would treat those orders where nothing was done prior to the April 8 deadline. If they were automatically converted, why even require anyone to update their order?

It was only a requirement for the NON FE orders to update from MOD/DUAL tops to possibly get a MY21 instead of MY22

Ya my understanding is FE was automatically converted to MIC. If you wanted to change to another trim, change to 22, or cancel you had until the 8th. I would still be on top of dealer to make sure order was ok though. I had mine email me new copy of build sheet showing the MIC top.

I’m sure many dealers convert those orders as the owner’s demo

My understanding is that the orders needed to be changed and would be stuck in "unscheduled/compatibility" status if they weren't. The 4/1 order guide still has the dual/MOD top order codes even though those commodities would never become available. When I reached out to my dealer today it still had the MOD top option, which I had him change to MIC "under duress" o_O
