Mod Top Impressions?

I was looking at previews of the Heritage Editions and none of them talked or even really showed the mod top. I did a search on the forums and didn't really see a thread from someone that's seen a recent version in person. Did I miss one that mentioned the top? I'm guessing if no one really mentioned it then it was a Ford directive to not talk about it. I guess we'll just have to wait for folks to start receiving theirs for us to know if it's a better top at all.

Well.... They don't exist yet, and won't until Q2 or Q3 of next year. (assuming no additional delays)

Kind of how there are no in depth reviews of the 2025 Mustang, since they don't really exist yet.

Information on the mod top has been silent for awhile, originally the mod top was going to have removable side windows but that's supposedly gone. For us two door folk we'll get the gunner's hatch but haven't seen that in action ever but one good note, there is a gunner hatch bag option so that should have made the transition.

I placed an order for the HE the day you could configure it and about a month later Ford pulled it from the features of the HE. So knowing Ford that means all those miles running around with it the top failed and they’re back to the drawing boards on it. 3 years in now and I hate to say it but it’s unlikely they’ll ever have it.
There’s always hope but low chance at this point it seems

I was a 9/7/20 Res holder for a Wildtrak. The Wildtrak at launch came standard with the MOD top. That got changed just after order banks opened to an option. The last email i received from Ford about it, they were NOT going to be available for 23MY except Heritage Limited Edition (and those are in white). That was one of the reasons I ordered a Wildtrak and Ford shit the bed on that one yet again!

There is a red one that's been making the rounds, even the car show circuit. If you catch a high shot it has the gunner hatch. I just haven't seen anyone say anything about the top. I'm not expecting a in-depth review or anything. I'm surprised a fan hasn't even chimed in with a wow the finish looks good.

Huh? Pulled what, the modular top? It’s still standard on HE and HEL.

The Mod top was contracted out to another manufacturer as a result of Webastcos MIC top effort. At least that is what was announced well over a year ago. I never have heard who the new contractor is.

i was wrong it does show the mod top. Sorry I swear they had removed that for a while but no I’m not on drugs I just made a mistake.

Go on the ford sight and look at the specs of either HE and all it says now is white top and the pictures no longer show the gunner cut out in the roof. They changed it a couple weeks after initially saying and showing it would be part of it.

I saw the Heritage Edition that Ford had at the Woodward Dream Cruise and the white roof looks 1000% better then the MIC 2.0 on my 2022 Badlands 4DR.

Thanks for the impression. It sounds like if it was an option you would have ordered it. Do you think you would buy one now to replace your MIC top, assuming pricing isn't outrageous?
