It’s very odd since we see some 2022‘s get delivered. Have a friend who’s 2021 Black Diamond had and ETA of 1/9 now has been moved to 1/31. Reason unknown.
There's some kind of problem with the Black Diamonds - in the 12/20 build week there are a ton of BDs that are stuck "in production" with no updates. One theory is the capable bumper switchover from MY21 to MY22.

Wife and I were at six different dealerships on Saturday, none of them Ford, looking to test drive a variety of new sedans as we get closer to replacing her bmw. Toyota, Lexus, Infinity, Honda, Mercedes…none of them had a new sedan of the type we wanted to drive, and all of them said an order would be 4-6 months out minimum, no guarantees. The big Lexus dealer had only two new vehicles on their lot. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s not just Ford Broncos, it’s everyone.
This is what happens when you send all the chip makers to Taiwan

In production status doesn’t get updated in the system. If you have modules and stickers you are like everyone else.

So, would that imply a shortage of modular bumpers to complete the 2021 build?

I have modules and a sticker, but no other updates. "In Production 1/3", Estimated delivery date 1/29 - but still pending on the palsapp.

Many others in the 12/20 group are getting baby photos, built status, emails, tracker updates, deliveries, etc. But there's a big group that are in purgatory.

Is your pizza tracker still showing in production, or switched to built yet?

Good to know. I've read a few articles that said the shortage was from China.
Basically irrelevant how many one country produces as opposed to the other. If you need 1000 chips and Japan makes 999 of them, but China produces one, the one you need to complete the build, guess what, your build is on hold

Pizza tracker now says Feb. 28
After that I’ll be making other plans. I’m losing more enthusiasm for the Bronco day by day.

That status doesn’t get updated. It’s not that meaningful. Deliveries are made with that status. Modules and stickers are the best indicator of built. After that the tracker does give a delivery estimate which had been good in many cases.
This isn't necessarily true. While there are a view that slip through the cracks and never get updated all the way to delivery, a majority finally get the "built" date. It's happening now with some 12/20's that have been sitting "in production" since 1/3. And window stickers don't mean anything, if it gets a vin and a blend date, the sticker will appear. A large group of us from 12/20 have no mods popped, stuck in production and almost all are Badlands. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for what's getting built and what is sitting in production.

Yup, this is exactly right. Deliveries without built status are by far the exception.
Same thing is happening in the 1/3 group; those that have been sitting in production are starting to slowly have movement to built status.

Can we differentiate “delivery” delays from “production” delays?
Mines been produced and shipped for a month now with EDD still 2weeks hence. I’m presuming 6 week “shipping” time is not chip related.

Possibly, seems like a bunch of squatch builds got pushed back. Maybe those had mod bumper. I was honestly surprised to see my order get scheduled for next month. I am a black diamond with capable bumper.
