When written as a abbreviation: “MIC”

When pronounced: “Molded in color”

I don’t think that Irish lad works here anymore, but you could ask his brother Daryl or his other brother Daryl.

I pronounce it like "salmon" but with only the one hard 'K' sound.

I say mike, but because it looks like the micrphone abbreviation as others have said.

As an aside , and if you’re in the project business, how do you say capex? Is it
cap - ex or
cape - ex?

By association, how about opex?
cap-ex
op-ex

Neither. "M", "I", "C".

How would you pronounce an order for a "BLT" at a restaurant?
well...BUILT of course. and the time I save from doing that can be dedicated to this forum.

I always say Mike, even though grammatically it should be Mick. I see MIC as an abbreviation for microphone. Or when someone says hand me the mic. You pronounce it as Mike.
When you READ a book the book has been READ. Context is important to how a word is pronounced. Next we are going to start talking about “coupon” (there is no Q).
I’m to Irish to call it anything but Mick, 🤣🤣
