Maybe this is covered but I have not seen it. Does anyone know if the MIC hardtop issues (cracking documented on numerous threads) is connected to the new MY 2023 order guideline changes requiring removal of ordering a MIC hardtop? Is Ford getting ready for massive recall TSB?

Cracking seems to be a pretty small population of customers. You only hear about it louder on here because people will complain about anything in a forum. Just search for cupholder threads and you'll see what I mean. No reason to believe there's going to be another recall of hardtops, when a majority of owners haven't had issues. Ford is also having constraint issues with soft tops, chips in Lux models, and sasquatch parts.

At this point in time, no reason to believe there will be another recall related to hard tops unless there is a very specific issue on a subset of hard tops the community hasn't found yet.

It just seems to be simply a production capacity issue. They got 85% of the orders wanting a hard time top, and they only have enough production capacity for about 60-65% of those orders.

Thanks! I jumped the gun connecting dots that don’t exist. My MIC appears fine and hopefully stays that way. I hear you on the cupholders. Lol.

Problem carry over concerning the hardtop cracking is likely yes. But the cracking issue is a small minority of Bronco owners.
My 22 Bronco hard top is in that small minority of having cracking. I just came back for my appointment with service dept today to claim warranty repair of my hard top. My technician did tell me there is an active TSB open on the hard top cracking. And they got approval with in an hour of my appointment to replace the entire top, not just the side panels as some have received as their warranty repair. Technician stated it will be about 2 weeks for new top to come in.

I know it was a typo, but "85% of orders getting a hard time" sounds about perfect.
Haha... dictation usually makes me say stupid stuff (don't know why I still use it), but very accurate this time.

I initially agreed but problem seems to be spreading on several threads - would make sense why they want to stop producing MIC tops in '23 until they get their arms around this problem

My wife and I both own 23 MIC top broncos with about 2k miles on each. She has cracking- I don’t (so far). Taking hers in Saturday so the service department can submit the claim.

It's starting to sound like people with 2021 MIC2 tops are having the least problems.
