Manual in base

Why can I not spec a base model with the manual? I know you could before did they ditch that option?

I don't recall them offering 4 door Base with a manual

I do not believe there is any particular reason, just the way they option it.

2-door Base can be a manual, 4-door Base can only be automatic

Ford doesn't make much on base model sales. They make even less on base manual sales. They probably let the base 2 door manual slide since very low % of orders will be that. But said enough on the base 4 door. Base manual 2 door was their only way to market a sub $30k vehicle.

If it wasn’t for my non manual driving wife my order would be for a manual.

It definitely is. In Sport mode, it really is a blast to drive.
