Hello,

Just picked up my new bronco and I'm excited to start customizing. Planning on doing some work myself, but some things I would rather leave to a professional (e.g., I have the lux package and want to upgrade from the cheap bumper that comes with the OBX to the HD modular without messing up my ACC, airbags, etc.). Can anyone recommend a shop or share any good or bad experiences? Bonus points if it's in North Jersey, but aynything inthe tri-state area would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Normally people pay big $ to reduce weight ..not add it:)

Paint the untralight composite bumper body color simply by wet on wet adhesion promoter, color sealer, color coats and clear....just saved yourself $300K on Gwagon haha.

Very true. Well if anyone wants to trade me their heavy modular bumper for my plastic piece of shi- "light weight" bumper, hit me up!

Honestly just spend the $1k and buy the Ford OEM one from Ford as it comes with the skid plate you need for the transformation.

I'd have Ford install it as the sensors MIGHT need re-learning/programming

"High speed bumper", that and the plastic skids is what made the Wildtrak the "Desert Runner".

Yep, this is what I was thinkin. My local dealership can’t/won’t do the work (they say they are too small of an operation to do work like that) so I am looking for recommendations for a shop that will.

They can't/won't install a Ford OEM part? That's scary. What part of NJ are you in? Which dealer is this?

The dealer that wouldn’t install ford OEM parts is in Westchester County NY, Brewster Ford. I’m in Jersey City.
