Our Throttle Controllers will help improve the response time of your vehicle by changing the electronic components allowing you to fine-tune how fast the throttle will respond (TB blade opening %). You can get through that curve much faster with less pedal application being made to open the throttle body the same amount. Feels more responsive by itself by scaling information/voltage to the ECM.

Okay cool, so it doesn't actually increase throttle response, just simulates gas pedal go down harder, make Bronco go bigger vroom vroom.

It still improves the Throttle Response. The Throttle Body (TB) and Throttle Controller (TC) serve the same purpose of improving the response time of your vehicle, but they work differently. The TB adds real air and power at every throttle position from idle to Wide Open Throttle. On the other hand, the TC doesn't add any power or air, but instead, it changes the electronic component to allow you to fine-tune how fast the throttle will respond if that makes sense. So yes, vroom vroom haha!

Again, what you're describing for this throttle controller is that it has no effect on throttle response. It does not change "how fast the throttle will respond", it's only changing the magnitude. Correct?

That is correct; It does not add power nor make the throttle body open any faster per se. But it does improve the response by amplifying the signal and essentially "gas pedal go down harder, make Bronco go bigger vroom vroom". However, it is not humanly possible to do that with your foot as you cannot have that degree of precision nor the perfect response curve mapped out for every given sensor output/pedal position in your toes. You would ultimately end up "flooring it" or it would not be predictable. In short, the throttle response is improved since the OEM response curve per pedal % input vs voltage received is exponential (very low/sluggish in the first degrees of pedal input vs extremely high sensor output as you press down further). The controller will make that response as close to linear as possible (or lower/higher) by changing the voltage received per degree of pedal input, thus, improving the feel/response of the vehicle.

In theory, it can seem quite simple or not necessary as you can just press down the pedal harder and/or faster but in practice, once you try the controller you will notice that is not the case. We offer a 30-day money-back warranty so there's no risk in trying it. We actually just sent some controllers to some bronco6 forum members earlier this week to get some content from.

I know I'm being pedantic but you cannot claim it improves throttle response when there is nothing to make the throttle body open faster. You're just opening it more (compared to stock), the equivalent of pushing harder on the gas. It really should be marketed more as a pedal position multiplier. It does nothing to improve performance unless you're incapable of applying the correct pressure with your right foot.

Alright, sorry for the delayed review. I still want to experiment more - but, I’ve been running it on Sport 8 with the Ford Performance Tune for the past 300 miles or so. I’m spinning the rear tires much less than I was with a similar setting on the Sprint Booster. Response is great. A little jerky in first, but that’s mostly me getting used to it - just user error. I think I’m going to test out the AI feature next. I still don’t completely understand how it works - but, if it’s more of a fluctuating - as needed “boost” for daily driving - that could be cool

Things I wish it had:
- 1-2 minute warmup period.
- I would like to have reverse not engage the pedal sensitivity, but just gotta get used to letting the idle RPMs get me going.

I like that I can have it tucked away and Bluetooth connects nearly instantaneously.

Overall, it seems like a much more intuitive version of the Sprint Booster. The benefits shine from gears 2-3. Kinda makes 1 even shorter than it already is - which is fine - but, I’m seeing 4-4.5k more often.

Awesome! AI mode works by monitoring your habits of pedal displacement and rate and builds a time average of the corresponding response level you desire. It works similarly to the fuel trims, where you have a short-term behavior that over time sets a new baseline for the long-term behavior. It will start in the middle of the range near SP5 (invisible to you) and depending on how you drive it might go up or down with time.
