We made 2 doors work a couple of times in the 80's - Fiat 124 Spyder with what looked like a back seat, just added a seat belt and strapped our infant son in his car seat. Family car from 87 to 93 was a Mustang GT with two small boys. Never a complaint. Now have a toddler and 5 year old grandkids frequently and we will make it work even with these more massive modern car seats.

Never considered the 4 door
Same boat here with a grand daughter on the way. No way she's ever riding in a 4 door Bronco, when her Mom fit back there just fine in our '69!

See post #101 of this thread.... as someone is working on extended seat rail travel.
Thanks. I wasn’t looking for the extension of sliding the seat forward. Sometimes the seat slides forward, sometimes it doesn’t. Just curious if there was any tips. @Roger123 got it and thanks for the pointer!

nope, hasn't gotten better since day 1, no break-in or anything, is what it is (until someone figures a way or bracket to extend the travel...)
Update! Definitely a process to get them to slide. Have to let the seat lean forward then push on the bottom to get it to slide. Only the passenger seat does this, driver stays locked on the slider. To get the passenger seat to go to the same position on the slider when folding back, you have to slide back, then lean the seat back to normal. Works every time this way. Hopefully it loosens up a bit so it can be one movement with the release lever.

Got my ticket off ice mountain with a Built email this morning. First email from Ford since 9/30. Delivery date improved slightly to the end of March. Cannot wait to put my own 2 door in service.

Hello, reading through your post and curious about the back seat space in the 2 door. I know it is technically a 4 seater, but could (3) kids sit in across in the back seat? Wondering the overall width of the two back seats? Appreciate any info you can share. Still waiting for mine!!!
Thank you,
Mike

Not legally or safely. There are only two seats and two seat belts. Maybe on a country road or private property or something. Not advised.

I can confirm it’s the K platform from Yakima that fits - 55x49. I have it on my 2dr.
Can you post a pic for reference?

Thanks! My order is a 2dr OBX as well and I have been curious of the look with the platform. Looks great.

As someone said there are only 2 seatbelts back there, so looking at a serious/questionable DIY to get a bench seat and a 3rd belt in there.

For those interested in legroom, I'm 5'8 and set the front passenger seat at what I consider a reasonable compromise, here's what the front and back look like:

Another view from above. Bestop arrives on Friday. Need some warm weather here in the northeast so I can make the switch.

I’ve been driving my 2 door Black Diamond since October 18th. Access to the back seat can definitely be tricky, especially if your Bronco is a Sasquatch or lifted. I removed the factory rock rails and installed the Ford step bars which make it much easier, with an additional lower surface to stand on when climbing inside. I also installed the Bartact grab handles for all 4 seats. They bolt right on in minutes and make climbing into the Bronco easier for both driver and passengers.

Beautiful look to your Bronco. Thanks for the Grab Handle link. Just ordered a pair.
