Bought a new one thinking that the first one was messed up from install from factory. Well... Not the case. This new one did same thing after a month.

Looks like the one clip was bent and didn't engage properly. Can that be tweaked back into shape and then insert that side first to get it to engage properly?

Looks like the one clip was bent and didn't engage properly. Can that be tweaked back into shape and then insert that side first to get it to engage properly?
This was installed correctly. I must have a defective opening on my bumper. Cause this is thr second one to do the same thing. Lucky me...lol

Just to clarify. The clips where both perfect when I installed this new light a month ago. After a month the clip is bent just like the original light was from the factory. Guess its the bumper .

I certainly don't doubt the tabs were normal when inserted nor am I doubting you installed incorrectly. It could be something on the bumper not allowing it to engage and deforming it as it's being installed...maybe the thickness of the plastic on the bumper is too much? Normally you can here a slight click when the clip snaps in. Once installed did you try tugging on it to verify it was fully snapped in?
