Leather Sun Visor Cover DIY

[1stEdition2021]

The warning labels on the visor were bugging me and i couldn’t get them off with a heat gun or alcohol. Made a cover out of leather for the passenger side. Was a bit of a pain and took about a day. What do you think? Should I continue and make the driver side? It is not glued down so I can always remove and return to stock.

Looks great w/ your roast interior! Maybe a different thread color (tan or grey or blue… but if blue would need to be thin or less pronounced pattern).

I hate the stickers too. On the old fuzzy interior you could get them loose. I hoped to remove mine. Now I guess I will look for a cover.

Thanks! I have black leather too, but liked the look of brown with my interior. The thread is like a mint green that matches the cactus grey really well. Could never make them and charge for them because it simply takes too long to make them. It was such a pain.

I saw the sticker option but didn’t want to just put a sticker on roo of the sticker and from the pics I have seen, the color looks a little different.

Nice! We’re those water proof stickers or were they able to hold liquid? Fabric softeners great for undo wall paper glue or any thing else stuck that will absorb water.

The first layer seems to be waterproof so you need some heat I think. But there is alot of strong glue underneath.. so maybe that would make it easier than the heat gun and the alcohol.. that took alot of time.
