2024 Outerbanks 7 speaker non-B&O

Currently running the 200.4/500.1 special

I got the harness from trail seven but they insisted I needed the LC5i pro. The AC 6-1200 has speaker level inputs so I don’t see why I would. (I’m a noob so be nice). Hate to have a $200+ piece of equipment of I don’t need it. My 500.1 runs separate.

If it’s necessary then great…I have it and will use it. Any fifth grade level explanation would be great my master’s is in nursing 😏 #@RagnarKon is my legit hero for explaining at my level

In a way yes. The OEM is an SB type which needs to see a certain load to remain stable. The recommended adapter has that. And it has Accubass. That should restore low bass I believe. The OEM system rolls off bass below 50hz coming out of the amp. You could get away cheaply with just load resistors available from Audio control placed on the high level amp inputs. Green ones or the new purple I believe are better suited. I went with a Helix DSP amp. Everything in one chassis.

they sent load resistors and I’ve done the Forscan changes (of that matters) my knowledge base this is expanding, but it still has a lot of room to grow

Use it if you have it. Don’t think you need the load resistors if using the 5i by reading its description. Give a shout to Audio Control. They are responsive.

Some may say you don’t need the resistors or adapter of any sort. It may work fine for some time and then suddenly the audio system will act like the power windows and need a reset because the OEM amp flipped out.
