I was watching a video today about broncos and something caught my eye in the comments section that had me a little concerned. I was planning on waiting till after they come out a bit and everything to make a decision. I was going to place my order around late 2021 to try and get mine early to mid 22 but I saw a decent amount of people talking about if you placed an order around late 2021 you shouldn't expect it till 2023 which seems a bit to long but enough people were agreeing made me a bit concerned. Does anyone know if that is true or not? my build doesn't have anything on it that isn't available to right now.

Late 22 likely like q4 late

Edit: might as well put down a refundable $100 and reserve one. Cancel if you don’t like it.

Once January rolls around, they will be mixing in dealer orders with reservations...

Are you sure about this?
I was under the impression that there is no clear answer as to how reservations/allocations would be handled for MY22.
On top of this I believe that Ford said they're committed to filling all reservations before producing dedicated stock units?

As I recall, Ford only committed to 2021s being reservation only (making all 21s unicorns) I could be wrong, but that is what I recall. Have not seen where they committed to that for MY 22...

There are 125,000 confirmed orders for Broncos. If production is 500 a day with full rate by July 2021 they’ll all be filled by August of 22 barring supplier limitations. At 1000 a day February 2022. Unless you order a 2 door, Sasquatch, Lux package, painted top, with whatever else is supplier limited you’ll get a bronco in 2022.

They originally committed to build all reservation orders before dealer stock units....but then removed that from their FAQ's. Then when asked, Mike Levine said "for 2021" only reservation orders would be built...that obviously means unless something changes, stock units and other dealer orders will be mixed in with current reservation orders in 22.

Ford has only committed to building MY21 Broncos for reservation holders. For MY22, all reservations will be built, but there is no commitment that the reservation demand will be met first.

Or what @Gamecock said.

And to the OP's question, if you don't have a reservation, then do so. The reservation can be converted now or when the MY22 order banks open. Realistically, delivery shouldn't be expected until Q3 of CY22.
