Kuat Transfer - How do you remove rack from hitch?

I have the Kuat Transfer rack. There is a 8mm bolt that you tighten so the rack stays stable in the hitch. I was wondering how quickly I can dissemble the rack for when I go off-road. So far it seems easy to remove the Kuat Pivot swing. But can’t figure out why the pin inside the Allen head bolt won’t let me depress it to loosen it so I can remove it from the Kuat Pivot swing.

Any ideas? See pic for pin that won’t depress. I looked online and nothing is in manual and can’t find anything in google.

Are you using the 8 mm security Allan wrench, or just a regular Allan wrench? The security one likely fits around this pin.

Lol that's not a spring loaded pin. It's a security bolt.

Looks like a tamper-resitant allen bolt to me. Nothing spring loaded about it.

Looks like the security feature worked in preventing yourself from “stealing” your own bike rack.

Are you using the 8 mm security Allan wrench, or just a regular Allan wrench? The security one likely fits around this pin.

This is the wrench that came with my Kuat piston x bike rack, locked to the top.

If you don’t have one, call Kuat and they will send it out.
