Only real upgrade was my darling 17yo daughter buying some Outer Banks takeoffs because she didn’t want me replacing the 16” Steelies with some “old man mag wheels”. Since I’m letting her drive the Bronco to school, I gave in and could be more proud of her especially she loves shifting “her” MT
You mean like Kragers or Centerlines? Geez, when did style go outta style knowatimeen? lol

My 2 door Wildtrack is much more capable than my Braptor. It’s just more maneuverable any way you look at it. The KOH just seems like a Roush or Hennessy which is all fluff and no performance. I’d put my Wildtrak up against a KOH any day.

You say you have two Broncos... A Wildtrak and Braptor... lol 🤐

From the horses mouth. Is your wildtrak customized any? Are you comparing stock to stock?

And by much more capable, do you have examples? Like straight line, rock crawl, etc?

Off road capability. My Wildtrak has many upgrades, Baja kits long travel, nitro gears 5.29, Hoss 3.0 rack, next venture full skids and sliders with umhv, front and rear bumpers, rear with dual swingouts, Radflo extended travel coil overs, rock jock trailing arms, etc. etc.
The Wildtrak is actually 4 inches wider than my Braptor. The Braptor is great, don’t get me wrong but we are in Moab right now and I left the Braptor at home if that says anything.

I wish I had better follow-up questions. Looking at your signature, I see you've had your Wildtrak for two years already; I assume you'll eventually upgrade it? Do you see a similar path for it too?

The comment about performance is also interesting; it kinda gets to my point. The Braptor seems all muscle performance. The KOH seems more regular everyday performance, to include some off roading (hopefully not a cash grab).

What would you want to see in a deliverable the KOH doesn't do (maybe the Braptor or Wildtrak does)?

That would be a Sweet Ride and a lot of history to go with it. I ready an article years back that it was bought at an auction and the new owner is ripping it up in the desert in it 🤣
$1.8 million and he crashed it twice last year.

I’d honestly like to see a legitimate fully capable off road vehicle with the best of everything available. If you are going to build a off road focused vehicle then there is no need for the mall crawler fluff, just put every thing needed to run Pritchett canyon and call it a day! The Braptor is nice for its niche as well but if it had 500hp at the tires, instead of 315, then it would have been a home run. Give the people what they want!

I’m sure I’ll start modifying the Braptor soon. At the moment I’m honestly trying to decide which one to keep. I’ve built the Wildtrak to be exactly what I wanted and the Braptor is even better off the showroom floor, for a starting point. I really have trouble just getting past the Braptor just being so much of a longer wheelbase.

"If you build it, they will crawl it."

You heard it here first.

To be serious though, I wonder what the market is for a semi-production model to be that hardcore. Is it a cash grab to ignore the outer reaches and build out a stock model to be badass enough but not hardcore? Would it sell enough, at the price needed, to be productive? Would Ford support it? I assume there's racing versions of what I'm talking about, just wondering why there aren't crawler versions? Or are there?

Ohhh, your Wildtrak is a two door. This is easy: Sell the Braptor.

Funny thing is my original build was a two door 21 Wildtrak. I "traded it in" for my Badlands cuz I like rubber floors and seats. So, y'know.

Do you happen to have a thread about your build you can link to? I'd love to check it out.

I don’t, really didn’t feel the need to do that. I’d be glad to offer you any pictures or answer any questions you’ve got regarding my Bronco though. I’m in Moab this week so I’ll hopefully get some wheeling pics as well, if the weather would start acting right.
