My setup…
MY23 Badlands SAS SubDelete
Dash- Polk Audio DB402
Kick panel-Focal 6.5” ACX165
Rear Pods- Polk Audio DB602
Sub- 8” 48CWRT84
Fusion Amp
Kicker 200.4
After MONTHS of playing with tuning, nothing I did improved a muddy, distorted sounding output. I reran the DSP setup multiple times, trying different volume levels on setup… not much change.
Turning the tuning off using the button on the microphone gave a much broader frequency range and resolved the muddy issue.
I finally landed on …
No tuning
Kicker EQ is ON
HI-Pass-120 (I don’t hear much difference)
VERY little gain, adjusting the gains with volume set to 14.
This is the vest sound I’ve been able to achieve.
The problem with this setup is it is overly bright.
However, changing to the 8” sub made a dramatic improvement on the overall sound stage.
Has anyone experienced this tuning issue of having a ton of frequency block?
