Wondering if there's a way to transport a 10' kayak without a roof rack or a trailer.
Options I've been thinking about:
  • Laying the back seats down and having the kayak stick out the back window (Bestop Soft top)
  • Standing it up vertically in my hitch cargo carrier and attaching securely
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not sure that there is a way to attach a kayak securely in the manner with which you have mentioned.
I have taken out my back windows and my kayak fits well through it, my only problem is that my wife would like to go , as well, and 2 kayaks don't fit...

I think I'm leaning towards just taking out the back window and having it stick out.

Google Soft Kayak rack. Plenty of options that would work for under $100. Four door, you could go through the 4 door openings. The 2 door may be a little more difficult.

Definitely should be able to.

Did you get the tow package? If so, the best way to do this with the most stability is to use a goalpost-style rear carrier. It slides into your tow hitch, and can adjust vertically.

Something like this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001HACGE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For the front, a crossbar roof rack like this with a pool noodle padding over the bar will support the front end.

Something like this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015D19SS/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Tie the kayak's forward strap eyes to the front trail sights, another tiedown at the goalpost on the back, a red flag if it's further than 1 foot off the bumper, and you're gold.

One warning: you won't be able to open your tailgate with the goalpost mounted.
