I have an update in regard to this. I got an email from Trailrax:

“The stand alone design and offering will be available in the spring 2023.”

So I am assuming this will not rely on the partial rack up top. This may be a true standalone. What do y’all think?

That's pretty slick to be honest. Since I already have the OEM roof rack, that is a great option.
