Does anyone know if the included jack is something Ford warranties? I tried to use mine back in October and the open C-shaped part on the end bent.

that is a great item....!! thanks for posting it.

The Ford jack is much like most vehicle supplied jack...thin stamped. BUT it is space saving!!!
I have used them and had them bend but never had one break with the vehicle was on it.

I would think they would replace it under warranty. Worth asking. For the unlikely use of the jack, why spend money on a replacement unless the dealership won’t replace it.

I would assume they'd warranty that. Does that end piece that's bent come off? Hopefully it does, and they can just swap out that piece.

The jack has a basic merchantability warranty - so, yes, it does.
The real question is, how did you do it? Was it being abused or misused. That will be the warranty question.

Is it even worth going to the dealer? Well, do you own a hammer?

@DriveAllNight 's suggested adapter also drives with a lug wrench (included with the Bronco). Most people don't carry an impact driver in their vehicle.

Are those even worth keeping? For a daily driver or mall crawler, probably, if you don't call a roadside service. A lot of off-roaders toss them and use a hydraulic jack and couple 2x4s or 2x6s. The scissors jack doesn't have the same utility off-road (or on-road for that matter).

All good responses, thanks for the replies. Having just purchased a 1/2-inch impact driver, that is a tempting route.

I do plan to get a "better" jack at some point. If not for the fact I have regular maintenance coming up, not to mention something new going wrong on average every 2-3 months, I wouldn't even bother.

It bent when I was high-centered. I did use the correct jack point, and after having had wrist surgery 6 days prior, I couldn't have applied a lot of pressure turning the rod even if I wanted to.. who knows? As I had just blown the second FD less than 4 hours after picking it up from them replacing the first one, I just threw the jack in the back and didn't think much about it until now. Glad I bought a beastly come-along or I might still be there ;p

Good question, especially if they refuse to warranty it. As I have scratches on my skid plates and that made the dealership question if I am abusing the Bronco... maybe they won't.
