Hey guys, my wife and I got our first bronco and for Christmas of course mods were the hot topic!

So First and easiest mod would be the stubby antenna, right?! Well for whatever reason either I am an idiot or we have some sort of super rare Bronco that doesn’t have the same attachment as all of the other 2024 Broncos.

Can someone tell me if I’m crazy?
I got the Ronin 5 inch smart lock antenna but it has the threads built in to the antenna. All the YouTube videos that I’ve seen mine looks different.

help!

I may have just found out my own answer to my question, apparently on some of the newer 2024 Bronco models Ford has now changed the mounting system for the antenna.

I reached out to Ronin and they were quick to let me know.

Yup - same issue .. a lot of companies just put 2021-2024 or 2021+ as they have assumed

My 24 has the same stub — just get one with a female vs male connection they are literally all the same essentially

You'll need to confirm the thread type, my '24 has the new as well and my stubby from my '23 doesn't fit. When I have time I'll figure out what it is so I can get a new stubby.

You ever find a solution?

Yep, ford changed the antenna mount in the middle of 2024. I had bought a Ronin stubby and I contacted them, they sent me an adapter at no charge.

Good to know, thought mine was unique when I got it. Now I’ll try again with their adapter

This is the only place I found where someone raised this issue. Just got a new 2024 and almost stripped the mount threads trying to wrench it out.

My stubby has a female connector but is too shallow so about 0.5” of exposed bolt is left. Not being able to swap out the factory mounting bolt has made this way more inconvenient….

I’ve heard they changed the antenna mount either second half MY24 or MY25 - so you would either need a specific antenna for that or an adapter

I am still looking. I have a 25 big bend and the antenna screws off but the bolt does not so all of the after market antennas i have tried do not fit. I am hopeful that something will be released soon.
