Is there a complete 2-Door Bronco models/trims comparison chart?

  • C/D 60-mph Tests: 6.2 seconds (twin-turbo V-6), 7.1 seconds (turbo-four with automatic transmission), 7.4 seconds (turbo-four with 7-speed manual)
My cocktail napkin math calculates these figures mean the 2.3L automatic is 87% the 0-60 performer that the 2.7L is. Sounds about right. I’m not jamming out of the starting blocks too often. On the dirt, feels less obvious. I was disappointed when the 2.7L was dropped from the 2DR however. It confused my sales guy completely.

i’m no math guy but .9 second is a long time to 60….and yeah it makes a difference…in mud or sand the extra power can for sure make a difference…betting 60-90 (passing) is much bigger difference….but yeah traveling in the slow lane it won’t much matter…party on!

Meh...I had vehicles in the 70's/80's that weren't setting speed records 0-60 but held their own 60-100.

And, there is also the variable of which rear axle ration was being tested and was it the same in each vehicle.

To the OP, get a 2024 BL squatch with Hoss 3.0 I like Lux trim, gut to each their own.

Hoss 3.0 was not available as a BL option until 2025. But in 2025 the 2.7L was discontinued for 2 doors. Which is why I have a MY25 2DR BadSAS 2.3L Hoss 3.0 Lux. No complaints.

As I have stated before. At the beginning of the Bronco release I drove demo models with each having the 2.3 and 2.7. I noticed zero difference. I originally placed my order with the 2.7 simply for testosterone reasons. Then the 2.7 motors started dropping valves. Changed order to 2.3. Final result, have enjoyed my Bronco with the 2.3 and saved $1800. BTW, Bad Lands non Sasquatch for the win.

The key piece of the OP’s question is really how much he wants to build vs buy. If he wants to save money on the initial purchase, and experience the fun/cost of building out a rig that’s custom and loaded with aftermarket parts, then Base, obviously. In the end, this probably won’t save money, but it will be an adventure. The only downsides to a loaded BadSas Hoss 3.0 is the initial cost and that there’s not much “build” left to do, except accessories. But it gets you out on the trails a lot faster, with a full warranty.

And a note: The MY2025 2.3L is also a total redesign, with twin scroll injection, which likely performs quite differently than the earlier 2.3 engines.
