Is the auto start stop battery always connected ?

sounds like he comes from Stellantis, where they do use a separate (smaller) battery.

Thanks guys! Yes, I was just assuming there would be a separate auto start stop battery, like Jeeps have.

They hide it on jeeps, underneath other stuff, so I assumed that's why I was not seeing one in my Bronco's engine bay.

Interesting. Had no idea they did that.

GM had a separate small battery in the trunk on some models. Malibu if I recall. Little larger than a motorcycle battery. So it may be best not to charge the battery all the way if it sits for awhile?
