The Bronco nation has verbiage eluding to the fact Ford will be delivering to dealers before reservation holders to sell to general public. Has anyone validated this?

That’s my interpretation. There are so many commodity constraints that they can’t only build retail orders…

In order to keep the line running they will be building lower trim vehicles for stock units.

It’s not that they are prioritizing stock units over retail, it’s that they can’t even build the retail units… so they could either build say only 2,000 retails orders a week… or they could build 2,000 retail orders and an additional 1,000 stock orders.

If the capacity is there, and they can’t build a retail unit, I have no issue with them building stock units.

The problem will be if a vehicle gets built for stock that matches someone’s retail order…

(which could happen depending on how they handle allocations… do they count stock units against allocation, and do they build someone’s retail order as stock for another dealer that still has allocation… there’s finite MY21 production capacity so every stock build is theoretically one less retail build… this is gonna get ugly)

Maybe I'll run across a 2 door base on a dealer lot. If one is available it shouldn't be too difficult for me snag it.

a 2 door base would have a hard top so I'm guessing you wouldnt find that. I think only 4 door soft top Broncos will be available.

This brings up an interesting scenario. How many people do you think will move on from their order and buy off the lot once they see dealer stock for sale? I imagine the markup will have a lot to do with it, but what if the markup on dealer stock is actually somewhat tame? Could see a chunk of cancelled orders which might free up allocation for later reservations. Random thoughts lol

I'm all in with my order regardless.

4dr BB 2.3L auto, soft top would fill the lots. If you can fit as already seemingly confirmed, you could buy and drive one until your order comes in and still probably break even (if you could snag one at MSRP).

With the chip shortage, dealerships are desperate for new vehicles so I am not surprised by this. Gotta keep the Ford MAP plant running also.
There are in stock right now a total of 14 new passenger vehicles and 6 commercial vehicles at my nearest dealer, which is fairly large. The situation is not good.

If a hard top is used up for a dealer base model before all reserved 2drs are built, people are going to riot.

Yes just got a email from my dealer saying that Ford wants to get as many 2021 Broncos on the streets as they can so they going start putting them on dealers lots witch we all know because they going get more money for.
