I can confirm that the 2 door also has led lighting on the rear crossbar, at least with Lux it does. That said, it's still kinda cave-like.

I'm generally disappointed with the interior lighting of the Bronco. The back seat is very dark and the cargo light is on the side panel which I hate since when you load cargo, the cargo blocks the light. I'm thinking about adding some type of tap light to provide more lighting in the rear
How do you turn the light that is in the cargo area on? All I get is the light blue bronco.

Yeah, I've that light on the roll bar also...but it doesn't work...so far it's the only thing wrong with my Bronco. MIC 2.0? looks good.

I tried to pop the light out to check for loose wire, but thought i was going to break something. Doesn't seem worth taking it to the dealer, I guess I'll keep a, hopefully, short list.

I must have a good one because my rear light is bright. yes it is dark in the passenger floor, but otherwise it is good.

Yup. MIC 2.0, or at least what should have been. It may be more of a MIC 1.87. Either way, they are replacing it at some point. I've got a short list going as well, but nothing to where it's worth a special trip. It's hard to explain to someone how it's worth it when all they know is what they read. There are plenty of problems, but it's an amazing vehicle. After elk hunting this past week, I now have more off road miles on it than on road. I became even more impressed with it after taking it where I did and how it responded. It definitely does some things I wouldn't have tried in the Wrangler. Ford has a winner with the Bronco.

My 2.0 looks good so far. i love driving it, I'd say firm and planted on road, compliant off road. Took it out on some mild off road no complaints. My Rubicon would probable out perform my non Sas off road, but so far so good.

I only found a setting for brightness on the ambient lights.

I need to figure out something like below for the soft top. Maybe an LED strip across the rear cross bar that is triggered when the tailgate opens.

This is a great video. I was thinking that led strips could be used on the crossbar locations, and wire it like the video you attached. I see that Oracle has footwell and engine kits…I assume one of those could work.

I just saw another post about ambient lighting and noticed I had never thought about interior lighting. Being consumed with the possibility of getting one of my dream vehicles and the obvious looming distraction of the delays I never stopped to think or look for the interior lighting options or lack there of. I must say I don’t feel like I often need floor lighting, my explorer has a cool but rarely changed “color adjusting” floor lights. Hoping my lux package has floor lighting of some sort, but does anyone know about overhead lighting? My kids love to read and fear there may not be over head lighting in the back. Assuming I will have the typical lights up front on driver and passenger which would likely be sufficient.

anyone know or have ideas?
Here is my idea

my 4 door Badlands is crazy dark, even with the ambient turned all the way up. My idea is to add an LED light that CLAMPS onto the cross bar of the soft top. It can't tie all the way around the bar since the bar is attached to the softop on its superior top surface. But clamping onto the lower half of the bar would work. Picture a "C" clamp holding on something like this:

while I don't find it 'cave like' dark in my BL, not darker than in other cars I've had and have, it's definitely not bright enough in the back to read and that light would just reflect in the mirror and be irritating. Maybe get your kids something like an itty bitty booklight that clamps onto the book? I have a bunch of those and use them for all kinds of things, you can also get some that you can plug into USB or use with battery, I use that on my music stand for example. Costs like $10 or so.

Or get them a kindle for xmas if they're old enough, then they won't need a light to read. won't work for colorful reading materials though. Just tossing around some ideas.
