I plan on installing my IAG interior lights on a switch ILO the rear dome light and plan on using the wire above the windshield and one of the 10 amp switches. Anyone else do this? I was looking for a thread but no luck with this search or google.

I was thinking about the same thing the other day. It’s very dark inside the vehicle at night. Follow along to see what we learn.

That said, it should be relatively easy to do. There is a wire behind the glove box that feeds the top of the windshield. Instead of taking off the accessory cap and drilling a hole to access it from the outside, should be able to access it from the inside too.

Agreed, every thing I have found shows running a separate wire which does not make sense as they can't draw too many amps............

I believe the Aux switches are hot only when the ignition is on.. We ran a separate switch due to that. When we need a rear dome light we seldom have the ignition switched on.
