Interior light wont shut off!!!!!!

The overhead light on the rear rollbar will not shut off if my kid leaves it on when i turn the car off!!!

I opened the door, pushed the button, shut the door, all the other lights go out but that one….

Tried that several times, light stays on.

the only way to get it to turn off is to GET IN THE CAR, SHUT THE DOOR, let the other lights go out, then push the button and it Will go out!

Then When you open the door to get out, the lights come on like normal, and then all go out!

danged thing was on all night before and the kid shut it off while we were driving… but I didn’t think anything of it!

this needs to be fixed because if the forgets, i have to physically get in the danged thing, wait for the other lights to go out, and turn it off… which is absolutely ridiculous!!!

you can just press the rear light switch to turn it off without going through all that

I have to admit that I've never pushed any of those buttons nor did I really know what they did. The icons they use are so ambigous it's a bit funny.

Yeah - it's in the owner's manual I'm sure. I never needed to look these buttons up. But interesting that it has this behavior, I would have never guessed!

If it makes you feel any better, I only found out about this because it was driving me nuts too

I replaced that light with Mabett's rear cargo light with a swipe or light tap to turn on and off and my dogs head or ears always tap it on and I go crazy trying to turn it off. Opening the door Swiping left to right, closing the door then its still on, then right to left, tried tapping it. So glad I found about that button in the front!! lol

Oh my goodness. Thank you for this. I just ran into this tonight and wasted a bunch of time trying figure out how to get the interior lights to go out after locking the doors.

Too bad the Ford 2024 Bronco introduction videos include the discontinued Bronco Trail App and nothing about how to use these confusing buttons.

Thanks, mates. I'll have to look into this. I have the Mabett rear cargo light and the Mabetter interior LEDs (the set of that go over the doors). My problem is that the interior LEDs stay on when I'm driving, but only at night. Days, they stay on very briefly, then go out--as they should. I'll play with those switches and see what happens.

I'm in the same boat. the only way I can get them to not be on at night is to get in the car, close the doors, wait for the lights to go off, THEN turn on the ignition

Spent 10 min. helping sis in law get hers off and now she refuses to touch anything!
