Installing SSV Works 6.5 pods

My SSV Works 6.5 pods are getting installed today on my non-B&O 2022 badlands 2-door (non-sub). First audio upgrade. Hoping they add a bit more base and more surround sound. I’m not a fan of sound stage. To be honest, I don’t mind the bronco audio system. It just lacks base. The highs and mids are fine for my ears.

Yesterday I removed the old pods and did the forscan mods. Disabled “EQ” and set the rears to “speaker”, instead of “tweeter”. Did some quick tests and it’s funny.. I literally don’t even notice the rear pods are removed. It sounds better without the rears and just forscan mods. The highs and mids seem more clear and natural. Forscan mods did however lower the kick panel base even more, but I hope I can adjust this in spotify.

Yes

In the Spotify app on your phone - Settings -> Playback -> Equalizer

Should affect playback via all sources.

(Apple Music is via iOS Settings -> Apps -> Music -> EQ)

Installed and working great! The rears are getting the full range of sounds now. Definitely a noticeable improvement in volume and quality, especially for rear passengers. I was able to adjust tone in the ford sync system, even with the EQ disabled. I turned up the base and mid a bit. Plug and play.

I wouldn’t say the speakers have much “booming” base, but they are at least “full” sounding, unlike the stock 4in tweeters. The factory amp doesn’t have the power to really push them that heard anyways. Phase 2 will be a standalone subwoofer. I don’t feel the factory amp needs an upgrade.

Phase 2 complete: Installed a 10in 500watt rms subwoofer in a sealed .67cubic box. The subwoofer made the biggest difference by far! The sub allowed me to turn down EQ base on the head unit. All other speakers seem to play much cleaner and clearer now, since they do not need to be turned up so high for base. I still do not plan to upgrade the factory amp or speakers, too much hassle. It sounds great as is.
