I don't like the blind spot on my 2Dr Base, and was thinking of adding a blind-spot camera... with a 4-6" display mounted on the dash in the middle somewhere, and the actual camera pointing backwards from the right mirror... maybe between the mirror and the Bronco itself. Has anybody done something like this? If so... what do you recommend? How does it hook up?

Note: I don't want a new convex mirror. I'm thinking camera here. Please don't respond with new mirrors as a solution.

Additional question... is it easily possible to use the current 8" display with a remote camera?

Wish I would have gotten a Bronco with a Mid package... but too late now!

Thanks!

Have you thought about a digital review Mirror? They offer a greater viewing angle that the factory mirror up to 170 degrees depending on the manufacturer.

Rear View Mirror... Not a bad idea. Got any recommendations?

Adjusting your side mirrors correctly can virtually eliminate the blind spots. I learned this many years ago. Perhaps they don't teach it these days?

It's difficult to describe without illustrations, but basically lean your head against the drivers side window and adjust the left mirror outward until you can barely see the side of the vehicle. Note that when you sit up you will no longer see the side in your mirror. Then do the same with the right mirror while leaning over so that your head is inline with the rear view (center) mirror.

It will take awhile to get used to if you drive with your mirrors adjusted "normally," but you'll find that the blind spots are very nearly gone

I added front and side cameras to my 8” using Naviks interface. I recently upgraded to the 12” and I need to install a different interface. I was pleased with it but it does require removing the dash etc.

Does the Naviks interface (whatever that is) require dash removal, or just swapping a 12" for the 8"?

Just adjusting mirrors (especially passenger mirror) has been done (previously) but this is not optimal. Light colored cars can be seen fine, but looking at darker colors on an overcast day really a few seconds longer... for my liking. Note: I'm 71. Darker colors on overcast days don't show up like they used to.

Still looking for a camera/display option.

Well, maybe I'll just have to be satisfied with what TX-Dennis described, as I'm not looking for another project (i.e. Dash Removal) now. (Or) look for some non-integrated camera/display option.
