I'm impressed with the quality of this lightbar. Longest part of the install was putting the pods together with the cross-links.
My only issue is the flapping it's causing of the soft top. I pretty much expected it, but was hoping it wouldn't be as bad as a normal light bar.
When mounted it sits right in front of the edge of the soft top, so the wind has got to go somewhere.
My thought is if I could get the mount up a little higher above the edge of the roof it might mitigate this. Any thoughts? Maybe another plate underneath the mount with some studs welded on with more adjustment.
In the meantime, I'm gonna try the pillow trick with the c pillar.
The lights look great, backlight feature is pretty nice too. I'm glad I gave Diode Dynamics a shot! I used to run rigid and Baja on my Raptor, but DD lights are my new jam.
Also, sorry about the pictures, my phone is a potato.

Update: Pillow trick worked for the most part. Haven't been above 60 yet, but cured most of the flapping. A little wind noise and a whistle but that's fine!
Shout out to @PandaMotorworks and @Diode Dynamics for the great deal and great product.
Maybe offer a package with a body pillow and covers would be my only suggestion. 🤣

Incredible!

Thank you for sharing your feedback and installation images. We're glad to hear you're loving our Stage Series LED lighting products. We truly appreciate your support here at Diode Dynamics!

Just a few quick questions,

Did you go with our Sport or Pro SS5 Windshield CrossLink LED Light Bar?

Are you running our new Elite Series fog lamps as well?

Hey! I've got the SS5 Sport Crosslink, SS3 sport ditch lights, and yes you're Elite Series fogs. (Fog lights are great btw. The cut off is amazing.)
I needed/wanted the extra light since I don't have a modular bumper to run pods in as fog lights, and your products fit the bill. Thanks again!

Wind noise is negligible until you get to highway speeds 60+. At that point it gets pretty loud. I'm used to it, but still kind of annoying if you want to hold any conversation without yelling.
On long trips I just unbolt it and throw it in the back.
Grab a king size body pillow and cover from Walmart and put it between the rear roof pillar and the top. It tightens the top up so there is less flapping from the turbulence cr created by the lightbar.

Gotcha gotcha! Has the flapping caused any damage to the front edge of your top? Any leaking?

None at all. Only issue I've had with the top is the black gooey excessive adhesive on the front when it's warm out. Very annoying.
