Inner fender liner gap - ok?

Had some aftermarket fender flares installed and the felt inner liner got "stretched" out in some areas with small gaps here and there as pictured. Also in the rear with the plastic liner that's not as pliable as the front felt ones. Worth trying to tack it down some more vs aftermarket liners? Or just avoid any deep water crossings indefinitely lol
