Illuminated Mirror Caps Question

I'm curious if anyone has replaced their factory mirror cap with the product below? If so and you own a trim with the side spots/lights do the interior switches have a function or do they now become obsolete?

Agreed. Plus the line is on the opposite side.

Was just about to point this out. It would bother me too much.

But if they were the correct side, then it would make the bronco look like a spider with 2 eyes on each side.
