Just added to tracker. 1/22 blend and on Ice Mountain. I was told by salesman that May was a "filler date" and "most delays are a week or two." Hope he was telling me his experience, not what he thinks I want to hear.

Definitely what he thinks you want to hear. I'm not trying to shit on Dealers here but I honestly wish they would keep opinions out of it, and if they must then under promise and over deliver.

Many people here know my story of "its been built, awaiting shipping and typically that means 2 buisness days away". I sold my car the next day, and 3.5 months later my Bronco showed up.

3.5 month of Car rentals basically equaled the MSRP markup others have experienced 🤣. Not saying it was my Dealers fault at all but I'm a strong believer in unperpromosing lol.

I'm curious to get your take on this. This is in relation to the two threads showing people working on Ice Mountain Broncos and then those Broncos leaving the lot shortly after.

Here is a pic of the MAP Bronco assembly line (according to google). You can see the green and grey crates in the background similar to the orange one. There are plenty of these photos.

Here is my theory from all our discussion/speculation:
  • Ford opted to keep producing vehicles even though they knew they were short a module(s).
  • My guess is they made this decision because they knew said module(s) would be easily added at a later point (i.e. in the Ice Mountain parking lot by a small crew)
  • It doesn't make sense to me they would keep building vehicles where the missing module required them to disassemble anything (aside from a small panel/cowl). Moving all these vehicles back onto the assembly line to take, say, the dash off doesn't seem feasible.
  • My guess is they stopped production finally as they logistically ran out of storage space at Ice Mountain/other lots
Conclusion: That video shows MAP staff beginning to insert the missing modules. The fact that those vehicles now appear to be gone from the lot further solidifies this conclusion.

And here are two (unrelated pics) of "Bronco Guy" for good measure:

I sold my car ; my bronco was 4 days from delivery. 🤣🤣. The good thing is I bit the 13k in my brokerage account and I’ve already paid for the rental. I’m honing it’s not May.
