Still on my OG windshield, but it does have a crack that goes fully across the windshield, but so low that the crack isn't in my field of view. Even though I have a $0 deductible, I am choosing not to replace it until I get a crack that does affect my field of view. I don't need to give State Farm a reason to F with my rates.

My windshield is being replaced by the dealership under the 12mo/12,000mi warranty.

My wife just called. Got hit with a stone on the road. Cracked the windshield just to the left of the rearview mirror. She said it does not look like it can be epoxied. This will be the second replacement windshield. The first one was a non-oem from Safe Lite. I think the deductible is a C-note!

Just got nailed today. Prolly 2 football fields behind a pickup riding an 18 wheeler’s ass. Don’t know which threw the rock. sounded like a gunshot. Getting epoxied in 3 days. Hope it doesn’t crack before then.

I have had three replacements. I just got a new stone chip two weeks ago. I decided to try the RainX repair kit. Sealed up the little star and has been holding so far. One thing I know for sure, I will never go back to SafeLite if I need a new windshield. They screw something up every time I have used them. Also, I think they use some shitty after-market glass.

Just passed 60K miles and still on the factory windshield. Lots of gravel roads, lots of interstates, lots of off-road, lots of cross-country trips. And lots of shitty Southern California freeways with crumbling surfaces and gravel trucks bouncing over the potholes, etc. I still think y'all just tailgate too close LOL.

I have had to replace the rear window once. But that was due to operator error :)

I'm on my 1st replacement windshield. The OEM one got 2 big chips within 60 days and started cracking horizontally. I drove it with a cracked windshield (the crack started on the passenger side and went all the way to the driver's side covering about 80% of the distance from side to side) for over a year and finally got it replaced with another OEM one. It is nice to have a windshield with no cracks.

New OEM glass in, safelight did a great job. No issues.

Actually, he confirmed what I already knew, the original glass had defects. Tons of white "bubbles" in it. New glass looks much better

Mine cracked not due to stone chip, but the perimeter free glass has a crevice around it that can allow water to collect in. Then a flash freeze can cause the water to expand and crack glass from the edge. Happened at the top of windshield. Safelite Tech explained they see quite a lot of that with the edge free glass that common now days. We had a rain to snow in a couple hours type event. Next morning. found glass had cracked on its own overnight.

Well, at least it wasn't totaled this time. Pouring rain the other day, blinding type when whack with the unmistakable sound of it splitting. Crack ran 4" in no time; hit was just below the edge at the roof line. Got to call the service center tomorrow.

11k miles on a trip to the Twin Cities in a snow storm my wife cracked her windshield.
Based on all the advice I had lowered the deductible on the Bronco with this situation in mind. We will see how well State Farm handles it.

I’ve had two good chips in mine in the past year, both stars. I used the rainx windshield repair kit and honestly it’s held up amazingly. High recommend it
