How many key fobs?

Should have 2 from the factory, and 2 are needed to program your own. With only 1 you would need the dealership to program a second.

You can have up to 4.

There are also some locksmiths capable that might save a few bucks but either way it’s pretty costly if you only have one fob.

They only show 1 for the esthetic of the ad..Other dealership listings also.
The 2nd key is in the cabinet, then at the end of your deal, they whip it out with your paperwork packet and say Have a great day! Enjoy your ride! Lol

I agree - The dealership is just showing one key fob. They’ll have two.

The only time I’d inquire further is if you’re purchasing a used vehicle. In that case, they may only have one fob/key.

Yeah, can't trust the dirty car dogs with both keys... no, seriously. I sold cars out of high school and lost keys was a big issue. They only put one in the lock box, on the window of the car, or in the cabinet. They threatened to install something called "keytrack" and I think it was storage that logged who took out what... the cost of it was going to come out of our commission on every sale.

Interestingly, though, Harley Davidson did start selling their bikes with only one fob and two physical keys. I lost mine in a move and it was a costly pain to get another one. About $80, but the dealership actually programmed and deleted the previous one right there for no additional charge.

My former (new) Kawasaki Concours 14 only came with one fob. If lost, it was an ECU and fob replacement deal.

I have never purchased a new or used vehicle with only one key. I always say as part of the deal I want two master keys or no deal. The sales team complains, but a sale is a sale, and they will do it.

I’m sure as well that there will be two. Just don’t waste any time making a third one. Too costly to replace if you lose one.
