Sure but shouldn’t it be first in first out… the later builds have the same modules but they can be built in a day???
It seems to me that it would be more costly to rotate trucks out of and into ice mountain than it is to deliver trucks straight out of the factory and let the others sit until the parts are available. Alternative is stop production to get the trucks off of ice mountain first…. They had to choose who they were going to screw over. Had to be somebody

What does it matter, didn't they just promise all those Ice Mountain Broncos will be shipped by today.
They only promised that MY21 Broncos will ship. Hopefully someone gets a video of Dirt Mountain next week and we’ll count the AMB Broncos.

God forbid you order something crazy like a base man squatch.
On the first day way back in 2020 ,you kids don't remember those times ,up hill both ways to school every morning, headwind both ways ,8 feet of snow.
Its so easy now just walk in order and a few months later the dealer calls come pick it up.

No, I’m January 22 order. I’m hoping I get it for Christmas.

Thanks bro... I agree that they are likely doing what is easier and most profitable but it doesn't make it right or even a good business practice. Trust me I am not being naive here

BUT, as many of the my fellow Ice Mountain captives can attest, Ford as done practically NOTHING to communicate, empathize or alleviate our concerns over our situation... that definitely if NOT a good business practice

Thanks again
They really should do something for you folks.

If Ford went ahead with the build week with the knowledge that they didn't have chips, we're in complete agreement...totally irresponsible. But if parts were defective or a vendor underdelivered on their commitment, then this is an unplanned event.

They did stop production for a week, which, if they were out of chips, is the responsible thing to do. Don't need 2,000 more undeliverable Broncos.

Agree that Ford's communication is sorely lacking. It took them months to fess up on both the top and chip issues. The entire world knew what the issues were before Ford said a word.

I don't know if you are stuck on the mountain, but if you are, I can't imagine the frustration. Especially for those who have an early reservation and are seeing February 2022 orders getting EDDs before theirs. The whole thing is a sh*t show.
I’ve been stuck at ice mountain since 1/18 (2 1/2 months) and I have a first 10 minute, day 1 reservation.
I haven’t heard a single ford executive or employee assign bad chips as the culprit. I have on heard the issue resulted from a chip outage/shortage.
I understand the dirt mountain holds last year, since they were primarily the result of bad/recalled MIC tops and airbags. This is a different animal. And it was avoidable. Pause production for a few weeks and focus on Rangers until the chips come in? Or build them and let them sit and delay customer delivery for up to 5 months? They took the option that was the most convenient and least costly. Fine…..but I will never travel this path with Ford again.

They’re definitely not stopping production, Ice Mt. get chips when they can, or in my case get build complete 3/24 without non-safety chips

I originally had a Jan build date but got pushed two times. Finally got one to stick and was built week of 3/14. I’d much rather have it that way than what others have said about getting built then scuttled to ice mt for who knows how long. If that were me, I’d be driving a Jeep by now.
Mine’s there, but I’m already driving a Jeep, lol.

Below is just one example of the many others that I have found... How does Ford let something like this happen!?!?!?!

I've found tons of post of individuals who had the exact same or very similar builds as mine who had February/March build weeks that already have their Broncos (Congrats... no shade on the lucky ones) before the many of us who had January build weeks... there is no rhyme or reason?!?!?!

I'm certain nobody here really knows the answer (unless Ford is looking at these forums) but I'm curious and more that just a little frustrated

Cheers my fellow Bronco6Gers

Let it happen? My friend, Ford intentionally changed their terms and conditions for the reservation orders to specifically foment this result. This is exactly what Ford wanted. Driving orders to Ford's favored dealers above anyone else, reservations holders be damned!

Just curious but can you share where you got your information about changes in the terms and conditions for the reservation orders... thanks Drex
