Survive is the wrong word. We've gotten by without it for sure. Much in the same we've gotten by without rear facing cameras, but they've been mandated in vehicles since 2018 because they reduce accidents and the chance that you'll run someone over. These things all help reduce accidents which is why they're worth usingI get that, but we, as a society, have survived without DRLs on vehicles for over 80 years. If someone doesn’t want them, that’s their choice. I am not going to lambast someone’s choice to not have lights on, during the day.
